trucks on one way bridge

Work Safety Division

Held at a stop before a one lane bridge because roadworks were being undertaken gave us the chance to capture this comedy in action.

Temporary traffic lights were installed across this short section of the Licola Road as the improvement works on the barriers required the crane truck to deliver materials. Note that the truck is parked and empty/unattended with piles of metalwork around it on the road behind the traffic cones. Of course once the way was empty and the lights turned green the full situation can be revealed:

The workers block off the side of the brigade they aren’t working on and use the traffic cones to squeeze the traffic towards them. Safety first! They were dangled like this while the traffic had passed them and continued their work with the truck tucked away in the blocked off lane.
